DESCRIPTION:
2014 Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Speed Command with rare yellow numerals variant. Launched in 2008 as Blancpain’s race version of their legendary dive watch during partnership with Lamborghini Super Trofeo racing series. The Speed Command moved the Fifty Fathoms from seaside to trackside with 45mm DLC-coated stainless steel case, carbon fiber dial with slanted yellow Arabic numerals inspired by sports car dashboards, and aggressive motorsports styling. Yellow numerals variant is among the most desirable of the three color combinations offered at launch (yellow, orange, dark grey/red). Powered by Blancpain Manufacture Caliber F185 flyback chronograph movement based on legendary Frederic Piguet 1185, featuring column-wheel construction, 37 jewels, 308 precision components, and 40-hour power reserve. Flyback function allows rapid back-to-back timing of consecutive events with no downtime. Movement finishing exceptional: hand-beveled bridges, slotted polished screws, circular-grained wheels, intricate perlage. Black sapphire unidirectional rotating bezel with 60-minute countdown markers. Display caseback reveals beautifully finished movement. Complete full set with bonus unworn Blancpain OEM strap (original tag attached). Speed Command discontinued and no longer in production. Originally retailed at $20,400.

CONDITION:
Excellent pre-owned condition. Case excellent with minor surface marks consistent with age and normal wear. DLC coating intact. Black sapphire rotating bezel in great condition with smooth action. Sapphire crystals front and back excellent. Carbon fiber dial pristine, yellow numerals vibrant, no degradation. Caliber F185 running perfectly with accurate timekeeping, flyback function operates flawlessly. Rubberized Barenia leather strap shows some wear from use, fully functional. Bonus strap unworn with original tag. Excellent example of discontinued motorsports-inspired Fifty Fathoms.
